Antares Vision Is proud to announce 60% year-over-year sales growth and 100th ATS 3.0 track and trace system installation

Friday, February 27, 2015 by Antares Vision

Antares Vision, a leading supplier of inspection and serialization systems for the pharmaceutical industry, reported today the installation of its 100th ATS 3.0 Plant Manager.

ATS 3.0 is a fully integrated hardware and software platform aimed at serialising pharmaceutical drug packages on the production floor and enabling product tracking and traceability throughout the supply chain. The company also reported that yearly company sales have climbed by more than 60 percent and its staff levels have grown by more than 30%.

Antares Vision products span from simple barcode and OCR readers that verify packaging integrity, to the most sophisticated inspection machines for liquids, solids, or powders, to software for serialization. Antares Vision encompasses the widest range of serialization modules, including the best-selling all-in-one core system that integrates serialisation with labeling, check weighing, and tamper evident functions in one unique, compact unit.

This past year the company introduced new hardware modules for carton serialization, automated bundling, and case aggregation applications and brought to market a new generation track and trace software for the ATS 3.0 system. In January, the company relocated one of its European manufacturing plants to a larger facility in Brescia, Italy, which quadrupled available production space. Customer service and research and development will be relocated to larger facilities in May.

"Customers are amazed at the capabilities, intuitive systems interface, and high-level of support available from a company that installed its first track and trace system only seven years ago for a leading U.S. pharmaceutical corporation," said Adriano Fusco, Global Marketing Manager, Antares Vision. "The foundation of our success rests on the more than 20 years deep expertise in vision systems possessed by our founding team. Our founders have a unique passion for creating something entirely new in pharmaceutical product security and quality control."

Antares Vision retrofits existing case packers and bundlers and produces stand-alone modules for manual aggregation, optimized for high rate productions. All solutions are delivered turn-key. Antares Vision supports its multinational customers in managing their complex serialization programs, including the optimization and harmonization of the solutions in all their plants worldwide. The most common services are delivered by local affiliates.

100th ATS serialization plant manager installed in Brazil

This most recent installation of the ATS 3.0 system, the 100th since the system was introduced several years ago, was at a Brazilian facility for one of the top 10 pharmaceutical companies in the world. To fulfill Brazilian regulations, a production lot had to be initially produced by March 2015. Antares Vision has already met this mandate and is now enabling all 25 production lines in the plant.

ATS 3.0 is a fully integrated hardware and software platform aimed at serializing pharmaceutical drug packages on the production floor and enabling product tracking and traceability throughout the supply chain. ATS is a best-in-class and proven solution built around the experience gained from implementing serialization in more than 25 countries on 500 production lines for over two billion product SKUs.

Key success factors for the ATS 3.0 serialization system include quick deployment times on the site, robustness of the ATS 3.0 system, and the effectiveness in managing data even after several years of serialization (billions of records) are stored. Since ATS can supervise and control all the lines in the plant, it can provide a single interface with EPICS, ERP, or WMS systems. When new regulations are enacted, a single upgrade is sufficient, regardless of the number of lines controlled.
