Voice of life sciences

Over 300 exhibitors attended EuroBio 2007,
a 30% increase on the previous year.
EuroBiO 2007 in Lille proved to be a resounding success. This year’s event moves to Paris where, in parallel with the EU presidency, it will offer a golden opportunity to strengthen the voice of the European life sciences community throughout the world.

Set in Paris and against the backdrop of the city’s EU Presidency, EuroBiO 2008 will leave a lasting legacy for the future of life sciences in general, and biotechnology in particular. Focusing on making positive change happen in these areas this year’s event sets challenges that will resonate in other cities and clusters, generating momentum throughout Europe.

EuroBiO 2008 will focus on the key areas of innovation, location and determination:

Innovation: as the primary driver of successful economies, innovation will be at the core of the event’s Four Pillars: Conference, Partnering, Exhibition and Career Fair.

Location: the Paris region has established strong partnerships with most major economic powerhouses in Europe and across the world to the mutual benefit of all with a new and strong political will to go further and faster.

Determination: building a truly European BiO is imperative for the life sciences community. It is also vital that everyone understands the challenges of the 21st century and think creatively about what needs to change. EuroBiO 2008’s Conference Programme, designed by its distinguished International Steering Committee, will achieve these two goals.

Decidedly forward-looking, EuroBiO 2008 will generate a dynamic environment for innovation and durable collaborative projects in life sciences by giving priority to technological transfer and early-stage young and innovative companies.

The timely coincidence of EuroBiO 2008 during Paris’s EU presidency will generate increased national and international media coverage thereby guaranteeing unprecedented leverage within the life sciences community. And with the backing of all key European bioindustry and biosciences stakeholders this year’s event will empower those who understand the need for change to carry the industry forward into the 21st century. uroBiO 2008 aims to set an agenda for change that will serve as a blueprint for the future
