QUANTOS is an automatic powder dosing system. An intelligent dosing head and the cutting edge weighing technology of this system now allow the dosing of free-flowing substances automatically, quickly, safely and economically.

Measuring performance
The highly compact instrument is suitable for dosing very small powder quantities from 1mg to approximately 250mg. It is typically applied in the pharmaceutical and biotechnical industries for HPLC sample preparation. In addition, QUANTOS improves working processes where smallest powder quantities are repeatedly measured under maximum accuracy requirements.

Based on its experience and know-how in precise weighing technology, METTLER TOLEDO achieved for QUANTOS the unmatched measuring performance of 220g with a readability of 0.005mg.

This provides a minimum weight of only 10mg pursuant to US Pharmacopoeia. The whole process is controlled from the balance.

The exchangeable dosing heads ensure direct dosing into a great variety of tare containers. Thanks to the precise mechanical system and the intelligent electronics, the dosing heads are perfectly adjusted to the dosing instrument. Every dosing step is performed to the target weight without exceeding set tolerances. A sophisticated dosing mechanism in the attachable head ensures continuous stirring of the particles.

Traceable process
All information required, such as substance ID, quantity and date, is saved in the integrated Radio Frequency Identification chip and makes the process safe and traceable. Through a label with matrix code, a sample report or XML data, every value can be clearly assigned and the data can be called up at any time on the touch-screen display.

At the touch of a button, QUANTOS doses directly and precisely into various tares without tiring, up to 20 times faster compared with manual processes. Losses of valuable substances due to spillage or repetitions resulting from incorrect weighing-in are avoided. This means that a smaller substance quantity is required to achieve the same result.
