Two German-based companies Hologram Company Rako GmbH and Rako Security Label GmbH offer an enduring solution to the fast-growing problems of product piracy and optimisation of the supply chain until the point of sale. This versatile problem solver is a UHF RFID transponder, which incorporates a holographic antenna equipped with visible and invisible security features. Furthermore, a manipulation-resistant, laser-engraved tracking and tracing encoding can be included to ensure worldwide retracing. Any attempt at manipulation of the product will be visible due to disrupted raw materials.

The transponder contains a silicon chip that stores its designated information. The holographic antenna is combined with an etched aluminium loop, which carriers the chip. The transponder achieves a read range of several metres to, for example, contactlessly bulk read data of goods in industrial applications or for daily inventories in retail sales by using handheld readers.

This holographic inlay works highly efficiently and flexibly to cure the biggest headaches of international operating companies: brand and product piracy, with its gigantic losses, ever-threatening legal cases and necessary cost reductions to enable highly efficient, mistake-free operating supply chains.
