Herbert C. Buchanan Jr joins Noxilizer board of directors

Herbert C. Buchanan Jr., the president of IU Health Methodist and University Hospitals, is to join the board of directors of sterilization and biodecontamination equipment specialist Noxilizer.

Alfred R. Berkley III, chairman of the board of directors of Noxilizer, said: "Herb's deep expertise in hospital administration will prove invaluable as Noxilizer begins strategic advancement into the hospital market."

"I am excited to join this team and look forward to working closely with Larry and the board during the next phase of their growth," said Buchanan. "Noxilizer is advancing a game-changing sterilization technology; a solution I am confident will be welcomed in the dynamic healthcare market."

As president of IU Health Methodist and University Hospitals, Buchanan is responsible for determining the strategic vision and priorities of two of the largest hospitals in the state of Indiana, US.

Prior to joining IU Health in 2014, Buchanan served as chief executive officer for Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC.
