Uppsala Monitoring Centre - Drug data services

The Uppsala Monitoring Centre provides focused products to the pharmaceutical industry, clinical research organisations and governmental agencies. The Centre serves all organisations involved in drug discovery, clinical research and drug safety, providing the tools and services to optimise the development and lifecycle management of drugs.

It can be combined with the WHO Herbal Dictionary, which provides access to drugs of natural origin, and is seamlessly integrated with the conventional medicinal products in the WHO Drug Dictionary Enhanced.
  • WHO Drug Dictionary Browser enables immediate access and understanding to all features of the dictionaries with no additional software.
  • WHO Drug Dictionary web training is available for users wanting to increase efficiency and productivity in using the range of WHO drug dictionaries.
  • Classroom training in North America: the UMC has initiated collaboration with PSI International Inc as the preferred partner to provide training sessions for the WHO drug dictionaries.

Pharmacovigilance:

  • Vigibase is the WHO ADR database, a unique collection of international drug safety data - useful information about the safety profile of products on the market.
  • Publications concerning areas such as crisis management and effective communication in pharmacovigilance.
