Canada-based contract research organisation (CRO) ImmunoPrecise Antibodies (IPA) has partnered with RIBOPRO, a Dutch biotechnology firm specialising in mRNA and lipid nanoparticle (LNP) technologies.
The collaboration aims to discover and develop therapeutic antibodies using RIBOPRO’s expertise in mRNA-based antigen expression and IPA’s antibody discovery capabilities.
RIBOPRO will leverage its expertise in mRNA sequence optimisation and LNP-based delivery, and IPA will use its B-cell screening, single-cell analysis, and AI-driven discovery workflows.
The two companies will advance the development of novel therapeutics by enhancing antigen presentation and immune responses, a key step in antibody discovery.

According to IPA, traditional immunisation-based discovery platforms may encounter challenges in antigen expression when generating lead antibodies for complex antigens.
By leveraging RIBOPRO’s mRNA and LNP technologies, the partnership aims to enhance antigen expression, potentially improving immune responses and accelerating the discovery of novel antibody therapeutics.
IPA said its approach integrates advanced AI-driven analytics with specialised wet-lab methodologies to design and optimise clinically relevant antibodies.
Incorporating mRNA immunisation into its workflow would enhance the precision and efficiency of its antibody discovery pipeline, said the Canadian CRO.
