SHL Technologies is a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) that provides OEM and ODM services for various industrial sectors from electronics to healthcare and medical. This includes manufacturing of electronics, medical devices, and plastics; with products such as neurosurgical equipment, electronic stethoscopes, advanced digital diagnostic catheters, PCB printing machine modules, solar cell printing machine modules and IC testing machine modules.
SHL Healthcare develops and manufactures equipment solutions for home, hospital and long-term care use with a focus on patient comfort and functionality. SHL's pen injectors offer features such as variable dosing, dose limit memory settings, full control over the injection process, disposable or reusable options, compactness and stylish industrial designs. In addition to designs suited for single-chamber cartridges, SHL has produced three dual-chamber cartridge pen injectors, and has several pen injectors under development for lyophilised formulations.
The growing demand for treatments using biological drugs has created a challenge for injectable devices to deliver high viscosity next-generation formulations all the while putting patient comfort and usability first. Building upon more than ten years of experience with high viscous drugs, SHL developed the Rotaject®, a technology for the delivery of formulations with viscosities up to several hundred centipoise. The technology can be applied in a two-step auto injector, including the possibility to be used with 1ml or 2.25ml syringe as well as the option of automatic or manual needle insertion.
