Dryce - Integrity and excellence in cold chain

Dryce works in the field of pharma and biopharma thermal sensitive drugs shipment. The role of Dryce into the drugs cold chain is to provide a wide range of passive thermal solutions, able to fix any issue related to both parcel and pallet shipments at any temperature conditioning.

Managing a wide range of temperatures for shipments of drugs from negative up to ambient temperatures

The standard portfolio of solutions from Dryce is based on qualified thermal packaging solutions, working either at negative temperature (-78°C, -30°C and -20°C) and at positive temperature (+2°/+8°C and +15°/+25°C). All the systems provided by Dryce are qualified with AFNOR profiles and are assembled to stand up to 120hrs, in configurations available both for summer and winter climate profiles.

Biobased phase change materials (PCMs) for +2/+8°C and +15/+25°C shipments of thermal sensitive drugs

The product range offered by Dryce is powered by the supply of in-house made PCMs, available in two different chemical compositions. Dryce has developed internally both a water based PCMs family, utilised to manage negative temperatures and positive temperatures as well. In addition has been developed internally a new formulas, it's an innovative family of bio-based biodegradable PCMs, working at positive temperature (two temperatures of activation +5°C and +21°C). This new family of PCMs helps to enhance tremendously the reliability of all the positive temperature shipments, reducing at same time the time of activation in fridge and the assembly errors, as typically faced with water based PCMs. The development and production of PCMs, is driven internally by Dryce's Lab Centre. Our Lab Centre is fully employed into the development of new solutions as well as into the development of custom solutions for main clients.

Passive Thermal packaging solutions, starting from small parcel up to bulky pallet shippers.

The thermal packaging product range offered by Dryce comes from single-use parcel solutions, starting from 3lt up to 52lt capacity, and move to bulky solutions as well as pallet shippers, cargo modular and carton pallets. The single-use parcel packagings, made by Dryce, are composed by an external robust cardboard, protecting an internal isothermal container made of EPS or Neopor. The temperature is maintained by the rational use of activated cartridges containing PCM, disposed as per the suggestion of the qualification report. The single-use pallet solutions are based on three models, pallet shipper, cargo modular and carton pallet.

Pallet shipper is a container coming onto an EPAL pallet base, mounted on-site and made of PP. The activation is granted by thermal cartridges containing PCM and disposed on the internal walls. Pallet shipper capacity is good to fit inside an entire pallet of goods.

Cargo modular is a bulky solution, used to store high volume of goods without pallet. Cargo Modular comes onto an EPAL pallet and is made of Neopor. The temperature inside is maintained by a rational use of cartridges containing PCM. The main feature of Cargo Modular is related to its "modularity", so simply adding or subtracting a module is possible to increase or reduce the height of this container, by changing the working volume accordingly.

Carton Pallet is the single-use solution truly cost-effective. This is made of a robust cardboard, containing panels of high thickness EPS and thermal cartridges.

Research and development of new products and new custom packaging solutions

Thanks to our Lab Centre, Dryce can provide customers for additional support in 3D-simulation and real scale testing, into its own validated climate chambers. This service helps in developing new packaging systems, customised on specific requirements outside the standard product range. The completion of the service offered to the market is based on special trainings and updates held both in-house and to the clients, related to PCMs, thermal packagings, climate profiles and error proof methodologies.

Thermal solutions ready to use

A special service provided by Dryce is the pre-activation of PCMs. Customers that are in need to receive quickly PCMs activated because of some urgency or because some trouble happened on their fridges, can find help in a prompt service made by Dryce. Receiving pre-activated PCMs, customers have just to fill the packaging with drugs and ship it out.
Additionally Dryce can provide pre-assembled kits, so customers can receive parcels already mounted, the right internal disposition of PCMs. This helps those customers than got some issue in managing single thermal shipment components in their factory.
